We derived this year’s Burundi offering from a new collaboration with the Long Miles Coffee Project. We selected the top lots from three of the best central washing stations in the Kayanza province: Kinyovu, Kirema and Gacokwe. The coffee is processed in the Burundian style: extended fermenting, thorough washing, followed by soaking in fresh water and slow drying on raised beds. Long Miles established a clinic and an orphanage for neonatal care as part of the project.
