Efraín, a.k.a. Macho, and his son Gelberth Naranjo built the Santa Rosa micro mill in 2009 in one of the highest coffee growing regions in Costa Rica. The Naranjos process cherry from four farms owned by their family and one neighbor’s farm. They mechanically demucilaged their coffee and soaked it for 12-14 hours. They conduct all of their parchment drying on raised beds.
