We’re excited to introduce our first single origin offering from Ketiara, a cooperative led by women in Takengon. This clean and consistent lot consists of coffee from a single village, Bies Penantan, and was produced primarily by ethnic Javanese women who became widowed and displaced after the brutal civil war. After the harvest, the farmers transport the cherry to Ketiara for processing. They use the semi-washed and wet-hulling processes which remain traditional throughout most of Indonesia.
